RAY OF LIGHT
The Crystal Field is composed of 11 geometric objects that function as prisms –
‘trapping’ sunlight and projecting it outward in varying forms and colors.
Though it may appear as a static field or garden of crystals,
it continuously generates transformation –
shifting through the spatial relationship between the objects and the movement of the sun,
with each object’s angular vitality dynamically refracting light.
The experience evokes optical illusions within the desert landscape,
posing a perceptual inquiry into the human eye,
and into light (and its fracture) as a cosmic and spiritual substance –
a material that shapes space and dimension.
The installation invites a new perspective,
fostering attentive observation of natural phenomena and the presence of the human within them.
